Community Loving Care Hospice L.L.C.

Volunteers and Professionals Who Care . . .

VOLUNTEER SERVICES

CLC Hospice takes the role of volunteer most seriously.  Volunteers are the heart of the services we provide and an integral component to our structure.  There are many ways of lending support and our volunteers choose what role best suits them, whether it is working directly or indirectly with our patients and their families or helping us in our offices.  The skills needed in managing a home or office are also needed in hospice, and the volunteer program at CLC provides opportunities for service to those who are eager to share their gifts with others.  It is a state regulation that a minimum of 5% of the care provided to patients and families be accomplished by volunteers, and CLC is compliant in this area.  If you are seeking to join a team where you can make a difference, contact Ron Williams, volunteer coordinator at CLC Hospice.

SPIRITUAL AND BEREAVEMENT SERVICES

Everyone's image and approach to a spiritual life is a very personal issue, and Community Loving Care Hospice respects and supports our patients' wishes in this regard.  Our team works with your religious representative, if requested, to ensure that the religious resources of your tradition are available during the illness.  We will provide spiritual counseling, receiving of the sacraments, spiritual reading materials, or someone to talk with.  For some, we will leave spiritual support to the family and the patient without intruding in their personal decisions.  CLC aspires to do whatever fulfills the wishes of the patient and family regarding this personal matter, and we will of course be there during the period of bereavement.  Each of us grieves in our own way on our own schedule.  Working through the grief process can also be a time of personal growth with appropriate resources for support.  Community Loving Care Hospice will continue to be that resource as long as the need prevails.

HIPAA COMPLIANCE

Congress passed the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) establishing the Standards for Privacy of Individually Identifiable Health Information.  By complying with all tenets of HIPAA, Community Loving Care Hospice ensures that our patient's privacy is honored and respected at all times.  Our volunteers and employees receive the training necessary to make them aware of HIPAA regulations and to educate them in performing their duties while meeting these requirements.
