Community Loving Care Hospice LLC

FAQs

Q. What can hospice do for me?
A. Hospice provides emotional, medical, and spiritual support for people who are terminally ill. The goal is to improve patients’ quality of life by making them comfortable in their homes.
Q. Who pays for hospice care?
A. Reimbursement for services comes from a variety of sources.
* Medicare/Medicaid
* Private Insurance
* Contributions or memorial gifts
Q. If I join hospice, won’t I be giving up hope?
A. Hospice focuses on the hope that every day will be the best it can be rather than the disease will be cured. The goal of hospice is to ease the suffering of terminally ill people and their families and friends.
Q. Do I have to stay home at all times?
A. No, we want our patients to go or do anything they are able and desire to do.
Q. Will my family and I be able to afford hospice care?
A. Hospice bills Medicare/Medicaid or private insurance. Because our hospice understands families do not need the additional strain caused by financial concerns during this time, no patient will be turned away because of an inability to pay for hospice services. Community resources are available to help patients and families with no insurance coverage or funds to pay for our care.
Q. What is palliative care?
A. It’s when the focus of treatment shifts from cure to comfort. Choosing comfort over cure doesn’t mean less care. It means more care for conditions that affect your physical comfort. Palliative care is a positive choice – a choice for quality of life.
